Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of RentTenant by property owners, operators, staff members, and tenants.

1. Platform Purpose

RentTenant is operated by RV Home from 611, Shyamal County, Wagodiya Road, Amodar, 390019. It is a tenant, hostel, PG, and rental management platform intended to help manage properties, rooms, tenants, agreements, complaints, rent collection, and electricity billing. Use of the platform means you agree to these terms.

2. Owner Responsibilities

  • Owners and authorised managers must provide accurate property, tenancy, rent, electricity bill, payment, and support information.
  • Owners are responsible for lawful rental operations, required permissions, correct billing, verification of tenant records, and handling tenant disputes fairly.
  • Owners must not use RentTenant to issue misleading dues or collect unauthorised payments.

3. Tenant Responsibilities

  • Tenants must provide correct registration, KYC, occupancy, and payment information when requested.
  • Tenants are responsible for reviewing billed amounts and making payments by applicable due dates agreed with the owner.
  • Account credentials must be kept secure and must not be used for fraud, impersonation, or unauthorised access.

4. Payment Rules

Online payments may be processed by a third-party payment gateway, including PhonePe once enabled. A payment is treated as completed on RentTenant only after successful verification or reconciliation of the transaction. Users must not initiate fraudulent, reversed, or disputed transactions without a valid reason.

5. Rent Payment Conditions

Rent amounts, due dates, late charges if applicable, deposits, and occupancy terms are determined by the agreement between the owner and tenant. Successful rent payments recorded against a valid due are subject to the Refund Policy and are generally non-refundable.

6. Electricity Bill Payment Conditions

Electricity charges may be calculated or entered based on meter readings, rates, or charges maintained by the owner. Tenants should report billing questions promptly. Payment of an electricity bill is subject to verification and the Refund Policy.

7. Disputes and Support

Users should first raise any dispute about rent, electricity charges, room allocation, service, or payment status with support and, where appropriate, the relevant owner. We may request receipts, transaction references, or other details to review the issue.

8. Misuse, Suspension, and Termination

Users must not misuse the service, upload false documents, interfere with platform operations, violate another person's rights, or use RentTenant for unlawful purposes. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where misuse, risk, legal violation, or breach of these terms is suspected or confirmed.

9. Service Limitations

RentTenant provides software for management and payment facilitation. It is not a landlord, tenant, bank, or payment gateway, and it does not replace a rental agreement or legal advice. Availability may be affected by maintenance, network conditions, payment providers, banking partners, or events outside reasonable control.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India at the place of the registered business address of RV Home.
