1. Information We Collect

We may collect information when users register for an account, use the tenant or owner dashboard, submit documents, or initiate a payment.

• Registration information, including name, email address, login details, role, and account approval status.
• Tenant personal details, such as contact information, assigned property or room, tenancy details, complaints, and agreement records.
• Owner, property manager, or team member details required to manage properties, tenants, rent, and support requests.
• KYC documents uploaded for verification, including identity or address documents submitted through the platform.
• Payment transaction data, such as amount, payment status, order or transaction reference, billing category, and gateway response required to reconcile rent or electricity bill payments.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used to provide account access, operate tenant and owner workflows, review KYC submissions, manage rooms and agreements, record rent and electricity bills, answer support requests, prevent misuse, and meet legal or payment compliance obligations.

3. Payments and PhonePe

RentTenant may integrate with PhonePe Payment Gateway to accept online payments. When payment functionality is enabled, payment details necessary to start, verify, and reconcile a transaction may be shared with PhonePe and relevant banking or payment-network partners. RentTenant does not intend to store card PINs, UPI PINs, or other secret payment credentials.

4. Cookies and Session Storage

We may use cookies, browser local storage, or session storage to maintain authentication sessions, remember necessary sign-in or onboarding state, protect user access, and improve operation of the website. Users may manage browser settings, although disabling required storage can affect sign-in and platform features.

5. Storage and Data Security

Application and authentication data may be stored using Supabase and its associated infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. User Rights and Account Deletion

Subject to applicable law, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may raise a privacy concern about its handling. Records that must be retained for transactions, disputes, compliance, or legal obligations may be kept as required.
